Welcome to Allen Amps.
ALLEN AMPLIFICATION offers ten vintage-style "boutique" all-tube
hand-wired guitar combo amplifiers or heads and matching speaker
cabinets. Inspired by those wonderful black panel and brown panel,
and tweed American circuits from the 50s and 60s, these amps provide
that proven tone and reliability in a brand new amp, with a few new
modern features for today's demanding players.
June 9, 2022 - Notice From The New Owners
To Allen Amps Customers & Supporters,
We are humbled and honored to carry forward the legacy of Allen
Amplification. We are pickers, audio enthusiasts, loyal
customers, and above all, passionate advocates of Allen Amps.
We recognize the unique place that Allen Amps have in the market,
and more importantly, in the hearts and ears of players. When
we heard that David Allen was looking for someone to carry-on his
namesake mark, we jumped at the opportunity.
Having spent the past several months working closely with David to
learn this business, we, like so many of you, have come to develop a
real friendship with David. Those of you that know David, know
that he is a man of unparalleled integrity and incredible kindness;
that he takes immense pride in his work, and that this sense of
pride is something that you see, feel, and hear when you interact
with one of his amplifiers. Getting to know David has been a
real pleasure, and we look forward to learning more from our friend
and guru as the business grows. We thank David for his legacy
of incredible instruments, and for this opportunity, and we wish him
a long, happy, and well-deserved retirement! Please feel free
to share your experience with David and wish him well at david@allenamps.com.
Going forward, while you may see some changes in how we do business,
we’re committed to upholding David Allen’s incredibly high standard
of:
Top-quality components
Meticulous, made-in-US point-to-point hand-wired construction
Unique designs and player-friendly features
Familiar yet flexible, high-fidelity American-style TONES
Unparalleled service and support
Outstanding value and did we mention…incredible TONE?
To be clear, we have no immediate plans to make changes to the
current range of amplifiers offered by David. Additionally, we
will be evaluating the potential to bring some former models (Old
Flame, anyone?) as well as yet-unreleased David Allen creations to
market. Finally, we want to hear from you! What would
you like to see from Allen Amps in the future? Please contact
info@allenamps.com with any
comments or suggestions you may have.
While we are in the process of transitioning ownership, we will be
pausing production to support knowledge transfer, and to ensure that
we uphold the standards of quality and consistency you’ve come to
expect from Allen Amps. We thank you for your patience and
understanding during this transition period. In the meantime,
if you would like to register your interest in purchasing an Allen
Amp in the future, please let us know by emailing us at sales@allenamps.com.
As we restart production, we will contact you to confirm your order
details and provide you with an expected delivery date. All
orders will be fulfilled on a first-come, first serve basis.
To our existing customers, you will continue to receive the same
outstanding customer support (with the help of our dear friend and
guru, David Allen!) by leveraging our new support channel, customerservice@allenamps.com.
Please bear with us as response times may vary based on the nature
of your inquiry.
We are thankful for you, our customers, for your loyalty and
support. We recognize that Allen Amps would not be here today
without you passionate players and your word-of-mouth advocacy for
these wonderful amplifiers. Rest assured, we undertake this
next phase of Allen Amplification's history with the heavy weight of
expectation, and that we take this responsibility incredibly
seriously. We thank you for your continued loyalty.

June 1, 2022 - A Note From David
After 24 years passionately building amps and providing kits, parts
and repairs to such a wonderful base of customers it has been a real
roller coaster of emotions as I pass the torch. I just didn't
know how it would all go as I had never been through anything quite
like it. I wondered what I would feel when that truck pulled
away....
Within 5 minutes of meeting these guys, both Kathy and I just knew
it was meant to be. I couldn't have picked out all of the
great qualities and background they bring to the table. Very
smart, passionate about their own playing, hard working, honest
people I was totally comfortable with instantly. After 3
intense days of training and building 3 amps (which fired right up)
we played them and put them through their paces. I can tell by
the look on a player's face when they connect with an amp and they
all had it! It takes real personal passion for the magic of
tube amps to do well in this business and it is there!
I was asked about how I felt about the business moving away on that
last morning. "I don't feel like I'm losing my amp
business. I feel like I have gained three new Sons!"
I have been stuck in the 20th century. The new owners will
provide the things many of you wanted from me all along such as Pay
Pal payment, smart phone friendly website, easier access to
information, reviews, photos and on and on. An Allen Amps
phone app? The sky is the limit now with their extensive
backgrounds in business development, computers, music and other
skills I never had. They will make it easier for you to get
the information you need before and after your purchase. I see
more videos and product reviews to help you make your choices.
I didn't know how much I might want to be involved in the background
with new owners but I can see me helping for as long as they will
put up with me. We played with some of my prototypes and I
could see the wheels turning. You (and I) are now more likely
to see these become new products.
I have no concerns at all about the future of Allen guitar
amplifiers. I look forward to the day they get a major
endorsement or become a $1M/year company. I remember Kathy and
I were excited to see our Old Flame amp in the backline of Lucida
Williams band playing on Letterman and Leno. I remember a guy
telling me Brad Paisley had recommend us for a good Fendery sounding
amp. I had hoped to get an amp to Greg Martin of the Kentucky
Headhunters who promised to get it to his good friend Billy
Gibbons. Things like this will be happening in the future I am
sure. I think "the word" will be getting around a lot better
now.
I have said this many times before. "I hope my amps inspire
you to play great music for many years". This is a wish for a
long life doing what you love!
Thank all of you for letting me live my dream. 😁
Sincerely,
David Allen
Allen Amplification does not export any of its products. We do not
have the correct voltage power transformers needed by non-USA
customers and we cannot provide the local support often required
with tube amps. Thank you for your interest.
